BMW AG Motorsport E36 320 STC "Super Touring Car"
BMW raced the E36 sedan chassis with an FIA certified DMSB safety cage in the super touring car series of Europe powered by the S42 race engine that was an evolution of the S14 race engine. A rare Diesel spec E36 3 Series STC race car was also developed and raced in the 24 hour Nurburgring series and won on its maiden voyage.

The P45B20 is a 4 cylinder 2.0 liter race engine used in the E90 4 door sedan 3 series race cars.

CARBON FIBER CFK BMW Motorsport Intake Manifold PTG S50 Race Engine & NEW ALTERNATIVE P50 CARBON INTAKE
This intake manifold evolved on a Motorsport race engine dyno under the team effort of the original BMW NA Motorsport team PTG engine builder and carbon fiber race car parts castor. The reason this was done was because BMW AG Motorsport division has sold out of the original carbon fiber intake manifold for the E36 M3 GTR/GT2 ELMS, IMSA and ALMS factory works race cars. This new carbon fiber intake manifold was developed around BMW AG Motorsport E46 M3 GT2 carbon fiber intake plenum used on the P54B32 factory race engine. Many changes needed to take place to allow this S50/P50 PTG carbon fiber intake manifold to not only fit on the S50 race engine but also in the E36 M3 engine bay. Additional work went into catering to not only the S50 race engine but it was decided to make an additional version that would fit on the S50 street legal version in an E36 M3 street car chassis typically equipped with air-conditioning. The intake is bread from a master carbon fiber parts custom fabricator who worked for the BMW NA Motorsport works team PTG from 1995 until the team officially retired from BMW racing in 2007. This is a real race intake manifold and will not cave in under engine vacuum.
