What is a multi-throttle body
intake system?

The multi-throttle body intake systems
produced by dbilas dynamic are the successor of the
double carburetor kits. As is the case for the double
carburetor kits the objective here is also the optimum
artificial respiration of the engine.
For this reason, instead of the
central throttle valve used for the sucking of air
to all cylinders in the conventional intake
systems, this system only has one
throttle valve for each cylinder.
In combination with one injection valve
per cylinder, this system offers optimum filling of
cylinders throughout the whole speed range of the engine.
Another advantage of the dynamic
multi-throttle body intake systems is that it offers the
possibility of using "sharper" camshafts without negative
influence on the smoothness of running. Only this method
allows aspirating engines to achieve high liter performance.
Due to the same suction pipe length and
simultaneously the same data a better mixture of the fuel
and the asprated air is provided. Consequently the
combustion is more efficient which results in an improvement
of the fuel consumption in some operation areas.
A
characteristic feature of our multi-throttle body intake
systems is that not only the pollution classification of the
vehicle is maintained but also the good running culture
according to standard. These characteristics remain
unchanged, since all electronic sensors and actuators such
as injection valves, air flow sensors or meters, throttle
switches and idle control valves continue to be used in the
systems.
All throttle
body kits are pre-mounted and ready to be installed. All
kits which are not marked with "R" contain fitting
instructions, throttle bodies, intake manifold, airbox,
throttle control linkage and all necessary small parts. The
kits which are marked with "R" were developed for racing and
contain throttle bodies, intake manifold and a throttle
control linkage.
After
conversion an adjustment of the engine management is
required. The prices for throttle body kits on this site are
not including this adjustment. The specified
performance-enhancing refers to standard engines with
throttle body kit and adjustment of the engine
management. |
The Multithrottle Intake system has been used on
BMW's since the early 80's and is still in use today. When you peek
under the hood of an e46 M3 you will see BMW's factory M division
Multi throttle intake manifold which these applications resemble
below. So if you own a 318, 325 and a US version E36 M3 and always
wanted the Multithrottle intake manifold for those M/// Motorsport
performance gains now is your chance. These units are very durable
and able to with stand turbo pressures beyond the plastic versions
found on the newer factory cars. The old E30 M3's, M5's and
M6's Multithrottle intake manifold was a metallic made design
making it more durable. Unfortunatly if your thinking as I did well
why dont I go to the junk yard and pull the multithrottle intake
manifold off of an old M car and bolt it on to my 318 or 330? The
answer is simple it wont line up with the motor the metal was cast a
certain way for the M block motor it was designed for. Bugger I
know, but know you have an answer and let me tell you these are a
great performance to add on to your BMW or to give a rebirth of
power to your old BMW.
